She's Going to Stevie Nicks, but What is She Going to Wear!

My dear lovely husband for the month of my birth has gotten us two tickets to see Stevie Nicks when she rolls into town here this September!! As any time when plans are made the next question is what will I wear?  Since it's my birthday and it's Stevie I'm thinking I may have to Rent the Runway for the concert. 1.  Adam Lippes Collective This floral number has been on my wish list with Rent the Runway for awhile. Not for any particular occasion, but just as an option come what may. I like the higher neck and the summery feel it has, it's for sure giving me Silver Springs vibes, but is it witchy enough?  2. Maje This midi has side cutouts, sheer sleeves, a half-skirt, and definitely has a dark romance vibe more up the Stevie Nicks alley.  I think also, since the concert is in September the cutouts and lighter fabric would work better in the still summer weather. But I'm not feeling a particular song with this pick, but I think it's an overall solid contender....

Hipster Witch

fedora-Mikkat Market(similar here from Asos ), cardigan-Nordstrom(similar here ), "dress"-ModCloth(similarish here ), leggings- Old Navy , boots-DSW, neckalce-Gifted(similar here from Bauble Bar ) I don't often wear a hats, but when I do, I like to build the outfit around them. For this Halloween OOTD my black fedora is giving off all sorts of modern-day-witch-realness, quite appro no? The menswear cardigan adds to the Gothic vibe, while keeping things warm and cozy. The necklace gives us some glam, while the knit "slip" as dress and leggings complete this outfit.  So, start with the hat, then work your way down!

Checks & Pleats

coatigan- Le Tote , vest/skirt-H&M(similar here and here ), boots-ModCloth(similar here ), scarf- American Apparel   A bit of dark romance to round out these week's worth of OOTD posts. I've been hitting the androgyny aesthetic pretty hard, and awesomely I might add, as seen here , here and here . For this post I went more fem, but still with menswear flair thank's to the vest. I don't often bust out midi-skirts, or skirts in general, and I have to admit I'm not "feeling" this look as much as I was with earlier ensembles this week. I love the mix of checks with orchids, and of course the layering, but I think there's a better way to execute this look. What say you? Play pretend stylist on me?
