Outfits Not Just Clothes

This first pic is giving me total Bender from Breakfast Club Realness , no?  blazer/shirt-Gap(similar here and here ). culottes- Everlane , necklace- chloe + isabel , heels/socks-Forever 21(similar here ) Yes, culottes again , this time androgyny-style with an oversized tweedy blazer, and chambray workman shirt. True, the color palette here is a bit drab, but the silhouette and details make this a fall-fabulous outfit, if I do say so myself! I've always been a sucker for dark neutrals and menswear-inspired pieces, and this look is giving me both! On a functional note, I'm sporting my OTK sock last seen here . These socks are a great way to wear you culottes into the chillier months, and are totes more comfortable than tights. 

A quick fist pump in homage to John Bender coat-borrowed, scarf-BCBG(sort of similar here ), skirt-Banana Republic(similar here ), top-Zara(sort of similar and completely badass here ), shirt- Ralph Lauren , collar- Asos So, I "accidentally" borrowed Mr. Keller's top coat yesterday... And I'm totally channeling Judd Nelson in The Breakfast Club with a side of Alley Sheedy. As a child of the '80's I find myself sometimes drawn to the big shoulders-thrift store-badass style from those John Hughes movies.  Molly Ringwald's Andie from Pretty in Pink was my style inspiration throughout Middle School, which made me kind of lame since that was the early '90's and all the other kids had moved on...  Now here's a No Parking pic for fun!
