Outfits Not Just Clothes

vest- J.Crew , shirt- Joseph Altazurra for Target , pants-Urban Outfitters(sort of similar here ), booties-Madden Girl(sort of similar here ), sunnies-Ralph Lauren(sort of similar here ), necklace- Lucky Feather /Gifted It's no secret I love to rock a vest, as evidenced by this post , here , here , AND here . With this outfit I'm vested for some utility-urban-prep-autumnal chic action. I love pairing pinstripes with tweed and these brown trousers are a great foundation for the pattern and crisp colors of this shirt and vest. For my next outing I'm thinking of swinging in the opposite direction and going for something more edgy, maybe even punk for this vest.  We shall see...

For a quick run to the market for bread, toilet paper, boxed wine, and mixed nuts(which are my essentials during storm) I threw on this striped top that is super comfortable and these Jcrew "minnie" pants that are also way comfortable and quite flattering.  These particular Minnie Pants are selling for $118, but when I got the 2011 version they were totally on sale for 40 bucks.  If you wait it out you can get some amazing deals at the Crew and Factory store.    This may seem a bit too much for a quick grocery store run, but I didn't wash my hair(hence the hat, plus it...

And I think the above is a much more successful outing. In hind sight the length of this blazer really wasn't that flattering (on me) with cropped trousers.  I'm more of a cropped blazer type gal and I think they can go with just about any pant/bottom/dress and work.  With fuller/oversized blazers I have to be a bit more thoughtful in my outfitting.  These pants did the trick in that they are leaner in the leg and then flared at the bottom, providing more of a streamlined silhouette to balance the longer length of the blazer.  Of course, duh, right? They are both from Diane von Furstenberg so of course they go together, that woman knows her sh*t.  Also, the color of the blazer ...
