Outfit of Many Parts

This outfit was built around a literal foundation garment--a bodysuit. From there it was a matter of picking pieces that spoke to each other to bring together a look. Unlike, my last post that had a very clear style point of you view, this outfit has a more eclectic aesthetic.  blazer/bodysuit- Gap (similar options here  and here ), skirt- Universal Standard , sunnies- DIFF Eyewear , scarf- Ralph Lauren (similar here ), belt- Amazon , boots- Nordstrom (similar here ) Forgive my hunched appearance, I always remember to stand up straight when it's too late. The seeds of this look, which did come together a bit waywardly, were planted from this  Who What Wear article.  It featured both bodysuits and silk split skirts as "must haves" for spring, but didn't necessarily style them in the same look. Pairing them together on my own, I then reached for this belt, boots, and blazer. The scarf came almost as an afterthought for a bit of coverage. The scoop neckline of this bo...

Think Pink!

It's been a couple of weeks since my last post. Busy with the 9-to-5, parenting, adulting--bleck! Anyway, took a quarter of an hour last Thursday to put together a bubbly pink, lavender look! cardigan / top -Amazon, pants- Boden , sunnies-Ralph Lauren(similar here ), necklace- Ana Luisa , ring- Skelton Jewelry , bag- Shiraleah shoes-Target(similar here ) If spring is not the season to wear pink (and lavendar), then I don't know when is! I was tempted to order this lavender crocheted peplum ruffled crop top (say that 5 times fast) from one of those Refinery29/Who What Wear "Here's the top 29 scores from Amazon" type of articles. I always enjoying browsing, but rarely end up ordering.  So glad I gave into temptation because this top is something I would have never allo...

More Spring Leather

Earlier this month as we started to see the transition from Winter to Spring I busted out my go-to leather jacket in this OOTD post , and while it may not seem like obvious or easy fabric, leather (or faux-leather) makes for some interesting outfitting during the springtime.  jacket-Nordstrom(similar here ), turtleneck-Gap, pants-Uniqlo(similar here ), sneakers-H&M(similar here ), necklace-Sterling Forever(similar here ), ring- Skelton Jewelry And according to this Who What Wear article , I'm right on trend! I contrasted the tough feel of the jacket with these kooky, floral pull-on pants, then added a sporty touch with my go-to white sneakers for an eclectic look that speaks to the season. You may recall these fun bottoms from this post which we shot in the same place as the pictures above!
