Reading on Friday

This Friday, the 13th (dun dun dun) I'll be reading at Delanie's Coffee as part of MadFriday Reading Series ,  a Carlow University sponsored reading series featuring work by members of t he Madwomen in the Attic community workshop group. It's co-curated by Kayla Sargeson and Laurin Wolf , and takes place the 2nd Friday of the month. And here's the cover of one of our recent anthologies, Voices from The Attic I'll be reading poems from my chapbook Trestling  with copies for sale! But if you can't make it to the reading then you can pick up a copy from Flutter Press here ! I'll also be reading some newer pieces and I'll be joined by fellow Madwoman Jill Khoury, check out her website here ! AND for you aspiring poets there will be an open mic. So come on out tomorrow night at 7 on 1737 E. Carson street for poetry, coffee, and of course to see my outfit! I'm thinking leather pants, blazer, harness... Only one way to know for sure, if you...

It's a Chapbook Not Just Poems

So I made mention of an announcement in yesterday's post . And no it's does not relate to my Year of No Shopping , or to any personal uterus business (as a 30-ish woman married for 11 years anytime I hint at a surprise a majority of my female relatives get this crazed smile as if they have been snorting baby powder). Anyway, as the post title suggest I have a chapbook available for purchase from Flutter Press !!!!! Here's the cover, photo by your's truly! You can check out the release info on the publisher's blog here where you can read amazing blurbs by the fabulous Jan Beatty , the leader of the Madwomen in the Attic and a mentor in my MFA program, and Nancy Krygowski also a Madwomen instructor and wonderful poet.  AND most importantly there's a link to purchase via Lulu.com . Check back for upcoming reading info!
