Turtleneck Tuesday Loungewear

For this week's #turtlenecktuesday I've layered a beige turtleneck under a matching knit lounge set and glammed it up with some jewelry.   turtleneck- Uniqlo , matching set- Soel Boutique , necklace- Benevolence LA , rings- Mejuri , bracelet- BaYou with Love , boots- LandsEnd I discovered Soel Boutique in the flesh on a trip to Utah back in the spring of 2019 (which seems like decades ago) and regretted not purchasing a jumpsuit I tried on while in the store. Since then I've been keeping an eye out on a potential purchase, and finally ordered this textured knit matching set. Does it make for the most chic or glamourous OOTD? No, but it's comfy as can be without being straight-up PJs and has layering potential as you can see with this turtleneck, plus I love mixing neutrals like beige and grey. As I'm still working from home and staying close to home in general, I decided to zhuzh up this loungewear look with some gold jewelry and makeup. I know in these times of m...

Spring Reveals

coat/tunic-H&M(similar here and here ), coatigan- J.Jill , pants /necklace-Banana Republic(similar necklace here ), flats- Dr. Scholls , sunnies-Ralph Lauren(similar here ) I love all of the reveals in these pictures. Like a blossom unfolding, each layer and pocket emerges for increasing chic-atude! What's also pretty chic, is how the color story of this look (and leopard flats) play into the bare branches and neutral landscape of early spring in this backdrop. I think I should do a lookback at how my outfitting and backgrounds have mirrored, informed, and called to each other over the years. I'm always really cognizant of the weather and how garments play with or against the season. This plaid coat, while it's an obvious autumnal piece, also works for the transition from winter to spring, and layers so well with longer cardigans(seen here ), and cardi-coat hybrids.  We have a few warm days ahead, so I'll be hanging up...

In Neutral Mode

cardi-Banana Republic(similar here ), dress/ sunnies -Target(similar dress here ), belt-Gap(more belts here ), sneakers- VANS , necklace-Anthropologie(similar here ) I'm currently in a neutrals mood when it comes to workwear, as seen here and here . I think black and beige is so on-point for September, as it gives a nod to the coming fall, but still has a hint of the summer weather we must endure. This also works with black and olive, and navy and beige. I tend to stay away from whites this time of year because they are too "fresh" for this transitional season from summer to fall. At this point of the season, I'm just trying to get through the weather I hate sweaty Septembers. Longing for crisp mornings, cool evenings, long sleeves, and plaids. Come on Autumn!

A Chic Summer Trouser

sweater-Uniqlo(more sweaters here ), top-J.Crew(similar here ), trousers-Zara(similarish here ), necklace- chloe + isabel , cuff-Vintage, ring-Jewel Mint(available from Poshmark here ), wedges-Sole Society(similar here ) I styled these ecru trousers VERY similarly in this post last month. That look was more casual. in this OOTD I've amped up the elegance with heels, a silk top, and crystal necklace. Which goes to show, how surprisingly versatile, for summer outfitting, these trousers are. I say trousers, as opposed to pants because there's a lot of subtle detail to be find in this pair. They are cropped, oversized, tapered, high-waisted, AND pleated! But, even through they are high maintenance being white and dry-clean only, I really do feel they are worth it for the high-summer chic factor alone. Don't you? And yes, that IS a train passing in the background for some of these shots. 🚆
