Boho Meets Sporty Meets Leather Pants & a Bralette

cardi-Piperlime(similar here and here via Poshmark ), bralette- Three Bird Nest , pants-Zara(similar here ), sneakers- H&M , sunnies- DIFF Eyewear , ring- Skelton So this is A LOT of look! We have preppy, boho, sporty, edgy, leather, lace, sneakers, fine jewelry, visible bra, and I'm living for all of it! I discovered Three Bird Nest when researching this article on the origins of boho aka bohemian style and I figure, 40 is a good age to start experimenting with bralettes. Everything evolved from there. I figured I needed a high-waisted bottom, hence these leather pants, defiitely needed some coverage, and wanting to bring in some light, but stick to the color palette I reached for this tennis cardigan (which I've also heard referred to as a varsity cardigan). Got to thinking about tennis and sport, and thought sneakers! Added some jewelry, slapped on some makeup, popped on my sunnies and voila an #OOTD was born!  Even in normal times, I'd be hard-pressed to have an...

Black, White, & Grey Officewear

button-down-H&M(similar here ), shirt-Banana Republic(similar here ), trousers-J.Crew(similar here ), loafers-Zara(similar here ), necklace-Anthropologie(similar here ) This week I've been on a black n' white office wear kick as seen in this post from Monday. Also seems I'm very much feeling mixed textures with this lace top and fabric necklace. I've paired this top with patterned button-downs before, seen here . This time around I've switched the polka dots for a menswear-esque windowpane shirt, by adding these looser trousers and loafers I've got a nice little androgynous outfit going!  I COULD get all philosophical on you and speak to the nature of lace as a "mysterious" textile that reveals, while it also alludes, which is mirrored by the chain link background. You can SEE what's beyond but there's a barrier that restricts access... very heady I know!

Beige Days

blazer/loafers-Zara(similar here and here ), blouse-Banana Republic(more options here ), pants- Uniqlo , necklace-Gifted(similar from Macy's here ), watch-Micheal Kors(similar here )  Not setting the fashion world on fire with this blazer, blouse, trouser outfit, however the neutral color story is subtly chic. Plus, it's always nice to have a palette cleanser, so to speak, after several days of wearing bright brights! Plus plus, there IS some interesting contrast with the feminine lace of the blouse and the menswear-esque blazer, trouser, and loafers.

Date Night!

cardi-Banana Republic(similar here ), blouse- Skies are Blue via Le Tote , skirt-Mikkat Market(similar here from Asos), bag-Coach(similar here ), flats-Shoe Mint(similarish here from Asos), necklaces-Gifted Wore this lacey, breezy, romantic summer ensemble for a date night with Mr.Keller. I know, "date night" seems so cliche, but I don't have the energy to be spontaneous and carefree anymore. However, in my defense this wasn't just any dinner and a movie, we attended the Summer Barbecue Wine Dinner as part of the dinner events series at Omni William Penn's Terrance Room ! So yep, that's pretty fancy schmancy if I do say so myself! It can be dicey when outfitting for an event, like this, especially during the summer. You want to be appropriate, but also comfortable and true to your style aesthetic. This tank from Le Tote was the starting point of the look. From there, I just started adding femin...
