Outfits Not Just Clothes

Some days you want a quiet purr of a look. And these black leggings, knit tank, and oversized cardigan is just the comforting hum I need for yet another day, week, month of working from home, keeping socially distance, and laying low

The bag, bracelet, and sunglasses were part of my Mother's Day gift from my husband--the  Rachel Zoe's Spring Box of Style . While the belt, which I also got in black, came from a random Amazon purchase, and the wedges and necklace I've had for a minute.  And while this dress is meant to be a "throw-on-and-go" easy piece, the vibrant color really lends itself to being zhuzhed up, even if it's just for a driving around taking outfit pics.

It's simple and flattering, plus this look is giving me a cool urban vibe without trying too hard. I love a slouchy blank pant, the elasticized waist on this pair makes them relaxed, but not oversized. It strikes a nice balance, when paired with a cinched knit, sleek sunglasses, and leopard flats, of ease and sophistication. I wore this for a virtual HH and some more casual Zoom work meetings, showing off the shoulders again .
