Pavement

Last week I profiled a local boutique Pavement for The Union Hall Times , which you can read here !  As you can see from these pics, this is a great little store in Lawrenceville, at 3629 Butler St. AND the owner, Alissa is super nice and very committed to providing unique and cool clothing to creative ladies. This is definitely on my return visit list for when my year of no shopping is over. I need to get up on some of their Italian-leather shoes. Again, in case you missed it, link to UHT issue here and to Pavement's site here .

Penn Avenue Eyewear

In a couple of previous posts I was sporting some geek-chic frames from Penn Avenue Eyewear here and here . I don't wear glasses in general and was trying out a few pairs for a feature I wrote for The Union Hall Times , which you can read here .  Now for some pics that didn't make the cut.  This is the try-on at home package you get in the mail once you've made your selections.  The Caitlin The Laura Lynn The Jack Sunglasses Oh yeah, I'm a badass in these Jack sunnies, right? It was fun playing around with the different personas each pair evoked and I got into some deep existential questions in the article which in case you missed the link above, you can read HERE!

Glasses!

Business lady with my business glasses. :) dress/necklace- Le Tote , blazer/ wedges -Jcrew Factory(similar here ), glasses- Penn Avenue Eyewear You may recall Tuesday's post with the same necklace here . Before sending it back to Le Tote I figured I'd give it one more outing and go the dressier/feminine route. This dress read a bit too young for me when I first tried it on, but with the blazer and close-toed shoes I was able to make it work for the office.   But the real story here are these glasses! I'm in the midst of writing a profile for The Union Hall Times on Penn Avenue Eyewear and the creative director brought me a sample of the at-home try-on boxes. This pair is titled the "Shannon" and I LOVE the color. These acetate frames also come in crystal peach and crystal violet for the more vibrant-hued ladies. Be on the look out for a few more pairs in upcoming posts.  Full disclosure I don't need glasses, th...

Commonwealth Press T-Shirt

blazer- Banana Republic , tee- Commonwealth Press , jeans-Asos(similar here ), belt-Gap(similar here ), sneakers-Converse(similar here ) I had the pleasure last week to sit down and interview Dan Rugh from Commonwealth Press for a piece I've yet to write for The Union Hall Times . Dan gave me this tee and of course I immediately started thinking of ways to wear it. Jeans and sneakers are pretty standard, but this blazer, belt, and cuff elevate this into a fun, punk look.  I'm thinking there may also be some interesting layering opportunities in store for this shirt. You'll just have to check back and see.
