Been Awhile

Yep, things got pretty busy in life, and when that happens outfits suffer, or I should say outfit posts suffer, because I was definitely rocking some looks on a recent trip to Sonoma. Of course wine drinking took priority over outfit shooting so they will live only in memory.  Back to the grind with this romantic, yet sporty look.  sweater- Amazon Essentials , blouse-J.Crew Factory,(similar here ),  leggings /flats-Gap(more shoes here ), necklace- Benevolence LA I love mixing activewear leggings with business casual pieces like this cardigan, blouse and flats. It speaks to the hybrid nature of working-from-home and working-out at home.  I also love the color sory in this OOTD. Blues, pinks, teals, it all feels so fresh and feminine. Rendered in neutrals or darker shades would totally change the feel of this look, no?  For these leggings, I'm also wearing the matching sports bra .  As the summer rolls on and things start to normalize, I hope to post at least...

Fall Flannel

Or should I say winter flannel as we woke up yesterday to falling snow, well I guess there's "fall" in that.  😉😊 Just a little novelty pendant, the dear/antler theme is so right-on for fall! shirtdress/boots-Nordstrom(similar here  and here ) wrap top-eShakti(more options here ), pants-Zara(similar here ), necklace-Forever 21(something fun here ), ring- Skelton Jewelr y I last featured this flannel midi in this post and I'm struck by how different the styling is between these two outfits.  In the earlier look I leaned into the casual modern grunge vibe of this flannel. Here I went with an edgy layered take that is still casual, but feels more polished. One of the challenges with this dress is the length and side-slits. You can't really wear it solo, like a dress, nor can you tuck it in like a shirt. I've done some fancy half-tug here and added this cropped wrap top to create a more fitted silhouette. Proportion can be tricky with oversized pieces and it de...

Fun Shorts Friday

bodysuit- Gap (similar here ), shorts- Uniqlo , necklace- J.Crew Factory (similar here ), flats- Allbirds There's been so much attention being paid to the top half of our outfits here in these WFH Zooming days. But, now that spring has sprung right into summer I want to celebrate the bottom half with #funshortsfriday!  And what better way to kick things off then with this surrealist-patterned pair from Uniqlo .  The high waist on these shorts call for a tucked-in top, so I went with this sleek bodysuit. I can also see these shorts working with a slim-fit crop top, or a refined athletic top.  Either way, this OOTD is all about the party on the bottom! Also, I finally figured what to do with my hair, I think it's looking way better than last week's post .
