Outfits Not Just Clothes

Well that warm surge of late winter/early spring has come sooner this year than expected. And I'm once again outfitting with transitional pieces that call to both seasons, while at the same time layering up for the shift in temperatures/weather. This white schmatta is pure springtime breeze, while the black tights, hoodie, and blazer are ready to take on the nips still left in the air. PLUS, there's a subtle contrast of this very romantic dress layered under a business-like blazer and sporty hoodie. But, isn't that was sprinter is all about--the duality of nature and the contrast in seasons... whoa.. outfitting as philosophical thought right there my friends!!!!...

I've sporting a number of black n' white looks this season, see here , here , here , AND here . Using similar pieces in each look, but for this outfit I busted out the first-time pairing of these printed joggers and this tennis cardigan. The overall vibe is laid-back glamour thanks to the retro-glam necklace. And while I'm loving the ease of joggers, and sleeveless shirts, the winds of fashion change are starting to stir. Autumn in coming and I'm getting pretty pumped for fall fashion! Stay tuned!

Now, after several dozens washes it's become more of a tunic, than a dress. Which is nicely playing into my current style theme of dress-over-pants ! I kept the print-mixing going with these patterned joggers and brought the whole thing into office appropriate territory with the blazer and patent-leather flats. Top it all off with a go-to statement necklace and you have an urban boho-esque office outfit! And not only did I wear this to work, I also sported it on a dinner date with Mr. Keller as we checked out Spork on Penn. Click here for my review on Yelp , it's dinner not just food!

And this past weekend I went for a casual look. I don't need to tell you how versatile black and white can be, I mean like duh, you can wear it so many ways. And even though we had another warm and lovely spurt, I did layer some black leggings under these slouchey pants for a bit of extra warmth, it wasn't THAT nice out.
