Memorial Day Outfit

dress- Tulle Clothing (similarish options here from ModCloth ), flats- Dr. Scholl's , watch-Michael Kors(similar here ) I've had this dress for a LONG time, and featured it in this post from a couple of summers ago. So, yes is it a bit cliched to don red, white, & blue for Memorial Day... sure, but it's also quite appropriate. Plus, this shift is such an easy piece to wear, and much more polished then a tank and cutoffs. These polka-dotted flats were a purely functional choice... I need a fun, easy, comfy, and cute sandal option here this summer. Something to slip in & out of that's a bit more substantial/supportive than flip-flops. Any suggestions?

The Rise & Fall of the Splash & Dash

On E. Carson in South Side past 28th St. there used to be a car wash-- Splash & Dash. It was abandoned/closed for over a year and during that time Mr. Keller and I used the location for a few shoots. Our first post featuring Casual Neutrals back in late Summer '13 with a Le Tote top and jeggings from Joe Fresh We shot on the other side of the car wash with the graffiti background in July 2014 to showcase  The Perfect Summer Dress   from Tulle Clothing Our last post in September, featuring a Gap blazer and skirtleggings from Mimu Maxi , with the rubble and bulldozer in the background for My Birthday Suit Now there's just an empty lot with rope offed entrances, which we may use again if the outfit, occasion, and opportunity call for it.  On another note as winter rolls in and days become darker sooner it's become a bit difficult to get outfits shot during the week. By the time we're done with our workday it's almost full ...

The Perfect Summer Dress

I call this my "Lovely Ladies" necklace.  dress-Tulle(similar here ), necklace-ModCloth(fun option here ), heels- Style Mint I've had this dress for years and it's perfect for summer outings. It's made appearances at some epic 4th of July barbeques, and here with these platform heel it's a cute piece for brunch. I've also worn in super casually with flat sandals, and it's a definite contender for my upcoming beach vacay in September. So, yes this is the perfect summer dress, not only is it light and airy, but the shape and print give it a retro vibe without being too kitsch, which is just the right balance for a summertime dress! Be sure to check back tomorrow, BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!!!!
