Fun Shorts Friday -- Romper Edition

romper-Uniqlo(more options here ), tank/belt-Old Navy(similar here  and here ), necklace- Benevolence , bracelet- Bayou With Love , shoes- Born There was some debate as to whether or not this romper constitutes as shorts. But after reviewing these shots with the bright blue sky and leafy green hillside I  have deemed rompers eligible for #FunShortsFriday.  I normally wear this summertime staple around the house just with a sports bra because it's easy and soft and has pockets, perfect for lounging or light chores. This was also a comfortable and functional garment after I had my second baby two summers ago, easy access for breastfeeding, and loose on the crotch--essentials for any new mother. 😉👶 For this OOTD I styled it up with a crocheted tank, braided belt, gold jewelry, and my summer shoe of 2020 this sling-back sandal. I love the contrast of these graphic polka dots squares, with the boho bib of the tank grounded by neutral accessories. I also love wearing a layer ...

Autumn Romper

Click on this pic for a closer view of the gold embellishments on the bodice of this onepiece, no need for a necklace!  Good old duck boots for fall! cardi-Zara(similar here ), romper-Anthropologie(similar here ), boots- L.L. Bean Okay, technically this is a jumpsuit, not a romper, but "Autumn Romper" sounds way better than "Autumn Jumpsuit," no? Also, technically this is more of a summer piece, and while usually by now (November) we're full in the fall weather, it's still pretty warm here in Pittsburgh, so it's not such a stretch to bust out a summertime boho jumpsuit. I've autumn-ized it with this cardigan and classic duck boots.

Little Boy Blue

romper- Max Studio via Le Tote , necklace-J. Crew Factory(similarish here ), clutch- Banana Republic , loafers-Target(similarish here ), ring- Jewel Mint I've had a love/hate relationship with rompers trying to find the right one that best suits me over the past few years. This number comes pretty close and I really like the print. I kept the blue theme going with the clutch and loafers. I can also see this piece working with super-high heels and a blazer for a classy night on the town. We're headed to Butcher and the Rye next Friday so maybe I'll give that outfitting idea a go!

More Summer Time Buys

In this post I highlighted some recent online orders, and my ongoing quest for the perfect-for-me white blazer for this season.  I've also picked up a few more casual pieces: Old Navy Shirtdress Gap Tee-Shirt Dress True, these first two dress are similar in that both are striped, but I see the shirtdress as a breezy office option, while the oversized T-shirt number would be great for transitioning into fall.  Gap Midi Skirt I've experimented with midi skirts in the past, with unsuccessful results. This version, with its elasticized waistband I feel will be not only flattering, but also versatile in that I can play around with where it sits on my torso. Plus I love this color, so fresh!  Old Navy Denim Romper  Oh Rompers... I like the IDEA of rompers and jumpsuits, but it's a rare day that I'm able to pull one off IRL... I have high hopes for this number, I always have the option of returning it, which doesn't mean failure on my ...
