Boho Office Outfit

blazer- Gap (similar here ), tunic- Duro Olowu for JCP , joggers- Philosophy via Le Tote , necklace-Anthropologie(more necklaces here ), watch- Wegner , flats- Dr. Scholls This "dress" was a long ago purchase that you may recall from this post , way back in the day! Now, after several dozens washes it's become more of a tunic, than a dress. Which is nicely playing into my current style theme of dress-over-pants ! I kept the print-mixing going with these patterned joggers and brought the whole thing into office appropriate territory with the blazer and patent-leather flats. Top it all off with a go-to statement necklace and you have an urban boho-esque office outfit! And not only did I wear this to work, I also sported it on a dinner date with Mr. Keller as we checked out Spork on Penn. Click here for my review on Yelp , it's dinner not just food!

Outfit Inspiration in Reality Once Again

jeggings- Joe Fresh , sweatshirt-Gap(similar here ), shirt-Old Navy(similar here ), sleeveless blazer- Thrifted , boots-Loehman's(similar here ), necklace- Duro Olowu for JCPenny , watch- Nixon via Urban Outfitters You may recall my last outfit inspiration post here . I've done it again with this outfit. Inspired by this street style look from Brooklyn Blonde Original Post here Again, it's not an exact replicate, but it takes the idea of a sleeveless jacket/blazer over a jeans and sweater combo. Originally I wasn't going to wear the sweatshirt, but added it at the last second. I've been thinking about sleeveless blazers/blazer-like vests for like two years now, as evidenced by this post . After a year of no shopping, and waiting for various versions to go on sale I FINALLY found an acceptable candidate at the Goodwill of all places! Actually, my friend Tess discovered it while we were on a thrifting adventure and immediate...

More Red Cords

Notice how the cuffs are opposite patterns, LOVE IT! blazer-J.Crew Factory(similar here ), cords-Gap(similar here ), shirt-Ines de la Fressange for Uniqlo(similar here ), necklace-Duro Olowu for JCP , ring/bracelet- Jewel Mint , watch -Nixon via Urban Outfitters, heels- Etienne Aigner via DSW(similar here ) Yes, I'm sporting my Gap cords once again, last seen here . This go round I skewed more toward a workday outfit with the blazer and classy-lady heels. Up next, I'm thinking of going super casual with a tee shirt and sneakers.  Also, am still loving this shirt from Uniqlo and the great color combo of navy and orangey red. Thank you, that is all.

More Layers

blazer- J.Crew via Threadflip (similar here ), jacket-Urban Outfitters(similarish here ), tee- Style Mint , jodhpurs-Asos(sort of similar here ), boots-Target(similar here ), watch- Nixon via Urban Outfitters, necklace-Duro Olowu for JCP, ring- Cookie Lee As the title says, more layers in this flat layout. As I wrote in yesterday's post I'm trying to hold  off wearing my winter coat, so I've been sneaking in lightweight knits underneath my blazers. This knit jacket is a great piece to add warmth without the bulk, and these jodhpurs are wool with a silky lining, hence comfy and warm, but also sleek in a skinny silhouette. And that's the key with layering, maintaining a sleek, streamlined look while staying warm, or at least not freezing.

All of My Favorite Colors!

If you click on this pic to enlarge and look very closely you can see Mr. Keller reflected in the gold bits of this necklace.  blazer/pants-J.Crew Factory(similar here and here ), shirt- Old Navy , necklace- Duro Olowu for JCP , heels-Isabel Toledo for Payless(similar It's no secret that I love color like  orange and blue n' green combos ! And even though I just did a post about how I'm leaning toward more black n' white ensembles for late summer I couldn't resist pairing up this recently purchased shirt with these cropped trousers and blazer. This is pretty much my go-to uniform of colorful crops, patterned shirt, and blazer. It's the color and accessories here that keeps things interesting. Both necklace and shoes are from designer collabs with budget-friendly retailers. I love scoring pieces from these one-off mashups of high and low brands, they are great opportunities to get interesting items at low-cos...
