Last of the Little White Dress

\ dress-Need Supply(similar here ), bag-G.H. Bass Factory Outlet(similar here ), flats- Dr. Scholl's , necklace-Banana Republic(similar here ), bracelet-Michael Kors(more options here ), lip- benefit via Birchbox   For a party last Friday I busted out this LWD one last time before calling it quits for the winter. This frock has been a wonderful addition to my spring and summer wardrobe. It's chic, flattering, has pockets, and is machine-washable, all great features for a party dress! I went with leopard print flats and gold jewelry to polish off this OOTD. And since it looks like autumnal weather is finally upon us here in Pittsburgh, I'm saying farewell white dress, I'll see you next spring!

A Little White Dress for Fall

blazer-BB Dakota(similar here ), dress-Need Supply(similar here ), necklace-Gifted, boots-Nine West(similar here ), lip- Pop Beauty via Birchbox This OOTD was directly inspired by a post on The Zoe Report for chic and flattering office outfits. Here's the original pic: The Zoe Report I pretty much nailed, right?! Beyond the street style inspo, the killer part of this outfit is the white dress. It works for fall with the right shoes and topper. Knee-high boots are a fall-fashion staple, and the somber tone of this olive blazer brings this breezy number(last seen here ) into the season.  Also my hair is pretty awesome! 💇

Holla Back to Safari Chic

vest-Banana Republic(similarish here ), dress-Need Supply(similar here ), belt-Gap(similar here ), necklace-Le Tote(similar here ), heels-Shoe Mint(similar here ) Remember when " Safari Chic " was THE summer trend back in 2008... Well, some trends ironically never go out of style. I've certainly been a fan of this aesthetic for several years, check past posts here . In this 2017 iteration I've used this little white dress as clean palette to showcase safari-esque add-ons for a chic outfit to take on the urban jungle.

Sprinter is In the Air

blazer-Gap(similiarish here ), hoodie-J.Crew(similar here ), dress-Need Supply(similar here ), flats- Dr. Scholl's , watch-Michael Kors(similar here ), lip- PBJ Smoothie Stick via Birchbox You may recall the past two years' " sprinter " posts, here and here . Well that warm surge of late winter/early spring has come sooner this year than expected. And I'm once again outfitting with transitional pieces that call to both seasons, while at the same time layering up for the shift in temperatures/weather. This white schmatta is pure springtime breeze, while the black tights, hoodie, and blazer are ready to take on the nips still left in the air. PLUS, there's a subtle contrast of this very romantic dress layered under a business-like blazer and sporty hoodie. But, isn't that was sprinter is all about--the duality of nature and the contrast in seasons... whoa.. outfitting as philosophical thought right there my friends!!!!...

Little White Dress

dress/ jacket -Old Navy(similar dress here ), necklace-J.Crew Factory(similar here ), shoes-Zara(similarish here ), bag- Coach , watch- Nixon via Urban Outfitters The ultimate summer garment--The Little White Dress!!!! To learn more about how to wear, style, and bask in the glory of the LWD check out my article for the Arts & Leisure Section over at Webb Weekly ! It's after the pieces on gardening and dogs, #priorities.  I kept thing simple with this eyelet shift--sandals, necklace, denim jacket--done! I did bust out my designer bag for the color AND its functionality, you can fit so much into this sucker. Bur overall, as I point out in my article, white dresses for summer should go the easy, breezy, minimal fuss route.  Also, we shot this outfit across the river from the Carrie Furnace  #history!
