The Easter of it All

Wore this outfit for Easter Sunday and I'm not bragging when I say that I flipping nailed it! We've got color, we've got functionality, we're on theme, we stand out and this is most definitely an outfit, not just clothes!  coat- Target , thrifted from Thriftique  (similar here , here , and here from Poshmark ) shirt-- Ashir Aley via Amazon (available on Ebay ), pants--Boden(similar here ), earrings- Amazon , mask- Maskc , rings- Mejuri , bag-Coach(similar retail here , similar via Poshmark here and here ) loafers- G.H.Bass , lipstick-- M.A.C . I'm loving the pink in this look. Plus the lime green liner of the coat that picks up on the kerchiefs on the jackalopes in the print. This pattern speaks to the an Easter theme while also being a bit subversive with a mythical creature print that's similar to the standard bunny, but flips it on its head, or rather it's antlers. 🐰🐇🦌.  All of these details really pop, while also being easy to wear with the chur...

Cropped Tops & High-Waisted Shorts

Last summer these shorts sparked my #funshortsfriday posts . This summer I've been all about bralettes and these high-waisted shorts are the perfect bottom for a cropped top.  bralettes- Three Bird Nest , shorts-Uniqlo(similar here ), sunnies- DIFF Eyewear , sandals- Marc Fisher , necklace-Gifted These are actually two layered bralettes, a basic black one under a lacey version. You may recall the this boho piece from this post back in September when I paired it with a tennis cardi, leather trousers, and kicks.  Here, I'm just trying to beat the heat, but still able to incorporate pattern and texture.

More Leather for Spring

My leather love for spring is still going strong and has move from jackets to pants!  blouse-J.Crew(more options here ), vest-Thrifted(similarish here ), pants-Zara(similar here ), necklace- Benevolence LA , bracelet/ring-Jewel Mint(more options here and here via Poshmark ), sneakers- Vans (Faux) Leather is not only represented in these trousers, but these slip-ons are also rendered in leather.  As I wrote about in this post , leather really can be a springtime fabric especially when paired with spring style stapes like floral prints and pastels. Look closely at the detail shot off the ring and bracelet and you'll see this blouse features buzzy bees in the print. I picked up this button-up a year ago right before we went on lock-down, and blogged it in a working-from-home post here .  I'm also keeping the sweater-vest vibe going from this post .  I think we can all agree that this spring is such a relief and that with more and more folks getting vaccinated th...
