Outfits Not Just Clothes

jacket- J.Crew , dress- Old Navy , belt-Gap(a fun option here ), flats- Dr. Scholls , necklace-Gifted(similar here from Alex and Ani ) I recently picked up several easy-going bohemian shifts from Old Navy  to wear the crap out in these last few weeks of summer. You may recall this paisley number here . For this OOTD I wore a LBBD aka Little Black Boho Dress belted and topped off with my badass white denim jacket, last seen here . Looking at these pics now, I can't help but want to reach out and adjust my belt, but overall I'm very pleased with the result. And I'm thinking this LBBD will be a great transition dress as we roll into fall.

Remember last week when it was 45-50 degrees out and we didn't need winter coats? Yeah, now it's freezing with snow in the forecast and I'm at home sick with a craptastic cold. But, on New Year's day I sported this jaunty vest in lieu of proper outerwear, along with my migration shirt last seen here . Really, this outfit started with these navy cords, and I realized how great they go with this shirt and vest combo for a very cool blue look! 

jacket-Urban Outfitters(similar here ), dress-Madewell(similar here ), shoes-Etienne Aigner(similar here ), bracelet/necklace-Gifted(similarish here and here from Alex and Ani ) Last week we had some pretty high temps for mid-October, so I was still transitional dressing. This sleeveless, knit dress from Madewell was just the thing! The texture and color are very fall-appro, but the silhouette made the 70-degree days bearable. This lightweight jacket provided coverage in the morning, while the sleeves paired up with the dress surprisingly well. I went for earth-tone accessories, again as a nod to fall. Plus, pockets!
