The "arrow" necklace used to be my Dad's from the 70's. He asked if I wanted it in the box of other trinkets, like pins and cuff links. Me: "Of course!" Dad: "Well what are you going to do with it?" Me: "Wear it, duh." Dad: "You know this is a man's necklace?" Me: "So, my neck is as good as any man's, I think I can handle it."

This outfit was inspired by Burberry Spring 2014 Men's runway, featured here. Pics from the collection:
I interpreted these runway ensembles as black pants on the bottom to ground the look, then having mixed color etc. up top. I've explored a variety of outfit inspirations in posts like here and here. For me inspiration can come from any, and everywhere. Street-style photos, other blogs, vintage and current celebrate looks, magazine editorials, and the runway. Even a London institution like Burberry's Men's Show can be translated into a fun and fresh office outfit for a 30ish year old woman in living her life out loud in Pittsburgh.
