Outfitting with the Baby Carrier

The extent of my accessories game nowadays, watch and binkie, a.k.a. the binker, the binkerdoodle, the bink. We have fun with names.

It's hard to see with the baby, but I'm print mixing again with this argyle sweater and striped shirt. And I fully admit I dressed said baby to "match" with my outfit, check her navy, white-dotted little pants! Also, I kept in mind the denim-esque materiel of the carrier when putting together my look and went heavy on the navy. I've been wearing a lot of navy lately, seen here, here, and here. These pants in particular have been getting a ton of use. Not only do they fit and feel comfortable, but being wool they are prefect for winter, and being navy can be easily dressed up or down. And this green sweater is bit of nod to the coming spring, it's been so gorgeous outside as of late. Sprinter here we come!

Love the tuxedo detail of these cropped pants. coat/pants-Jcrew(similar here and here ), blazer-Zara(similar here ), shirt-Asos(sort of similar here ), shoes-DSW(really cool here ), gloves-Brian Atwood for Neiman Marcus/Target(more gloves here ), sunglasses-Banana Republic(similar here ) I'm feeling very Annie Lennox circa Eurythmics in this outfit, eh? Most times wearing a coat is a necessity, not necessarily an intricate part of the outfit, but here it really makes the look. And even though the blazer is covered up the hints of it, almost like a lining, work break up an all grey/white look. And now for your viewing pleasure Sweet Dreams: Have a great weekend!

40 Year Old Cottagecore

Well as I've been growing my hair during covid quarantine and having picked up this dress as seen here , I felt that I was ready to tackle #cottagecore here on my 40th birthday!!! Yep, that's right today I turn 40 (but I don't look it). And while it's been a year like no other, I feel excited for my next year, decade, chapter of my life. I think it's fair to say I'm done having babies and ready to move on from the chaos of very little children to the chaos of big kids. Rent the Runway to the Rescue

So after the semi-disastrous dress vote from last week I took the stiletto by the heel, aka reserved this Slate & Willow dress from Rent the Runway for the wedding in July. Slate & Willow I had my eye on this as a possible outfit for the Tilda Swinton event I attended last month (fancy I know!) But, ended up going pretty casual since it was just a film screening. An AMAZING screening, but not a dressy affair nonetheless. Anyway, this striped sheath has so many good reviews from a variety of fellow renters in all shapes and sizes, I didn't see one unflattering user pic, so I'm fairly confident this frock will serve my needs come July.
