Embracing a lot of color in this outfit because spring is here my friends! I type this on a day with snow in the forecast, but on the day of THIS outfit the sun was out and the temps were mild. All of these pieces have made appearances on the blog before, but I think this is the first pairing of this blazer and these cropped trousers. The concept of this look came from this pic:

It started with the idea of the redish bottoms, a striped shirt and a colorful blazer. I was going to go with a yellow blazer like the photo, but opted for a neutral gray number. The neon trim is a nod to the original. With all outfitting inspiration there's a level of interpretation and modification. You can't ever really duplicate an inspiration look (I mean I guess if you have a limitless budget you can deck yourself out in head-to-toe runway pieces) but really it's more a matter of capturing the feeling of an inspiration outfit and making it your own.
