Two days until Halloween and I am feeling the autumnal vibes in this novelty print dress and again sporting a fall time kerchief as seen here, here, and here.

I'm considering what other times of year it feels sartorially appropriate to don this macabre frock? Perhaps in the deep winter. But I will also note that I love the pairing of this dress and necklace which is an enclosed pansy. And now for some poetry. From "May" by Fannie Isabell Sherrick:
The shadows are but passing thoughts
That mark each shining hour.
The pansy nods her purple head,
And sings a silent song;
Her life is full of sunny hours—
The days are never long.
What a juxtaposition of the spring time flower with the raven, skull, and amber tones of the dress.
