Finally a new outfit post of the new year and it only took about eight weeks! I've been finding myself leaning toward monochromatic looks here as 2024 rolls out. Monochromatic can be quite versatile. The easiest form is head-to-toe one color, whether that be something bold like tomato red, or something minimal like grey or all-black. The monochromatic approach I took to this outfit is tone-on-tone, where each element is hanging off a branch from the same color family tree.
We have chocolatey brown, purple, pink, and aubergine, or if you will oxblood, which is a trending shade at the moment. I love the lean silhouette with the coat and dress hitting at the same hem length. I went with a pop of color handbag and mask that played on the colors of the overall look, and then went with a sensible, but rich feeling loafer.
Hopefully with warmish days ahead we can get more outfits pictures and explore other ways of going monochrome.
