Tweedy Blazer Over Bump

You may recall these posts here and here where I used a blazer to nicely frame my baby bump. Well I'm at it again with this tweed-licous number. I'm loving the autumnal chic-a-tude of this outfit--a tweed blazer, knee high, riding-esque boots, and a neutrally printed dress--you can't go wrong!

It's been highs in the 70's this past week, very warm for a Pittsburgh November, which I'm fine with as I can't fit into my usual fall staples and I'm also fine with NOT having to find maternity-friendly outerwear. And true, this blazer doesn't button, but it still provides structure and shape, which is even more key now that my shape is all over the place. It's the oddest thing, but the bump definitely fluctuates in size and "roundness" from day to day. And what's even more weird is how my belly "moves" as the baby kicks and squirms it totes out of Alien.

Most times wearing a coat is a necessity, not necessarily an intricate part of the outfit, but here it really makes the look. Hamptons-Poolside-Chic meets Sue Ellen Ewing Early '80's Realness

Paired with this sailor-suit-esque blouse I was definitely ready for a seaside cocktail party, right? This outfit also called to mind the elegance of early 80's Dallas . It has been my experience that as a child of the 80's one's house was either in the Dallas camp or the Dynasty camp. We were a Dallas household for sures. Cowboy Boots & Floral Skirts

Western wear has seen a resurgence here with the Cowboy Carter of it all, among other influences. I'm not one for cowgirl cosplay, but I do enjoy a good boot. Here I've styled by western boots with a mixed print autumnal outfit.
