Movie Date Outfit

Before all the snow came Mr. Keller and I went on a movie date. It was more like a double date as my Mom and Stepdad came out with us to see Lincoln.  This outing began my official wearing of these jeans just about everyday during my winter recess from work.  It seemed like every time I left the house this past week I was wearing these jeans. They are comfortable, flattering, and the grey color is a nice break from the darker denim to which I usually gravitate. Besides pairing them with my DVF blazer above, I've also rocked them with some flannel shirts, turtle necks, and a military inspired vest.  So, not only are the functional, they can be worn with a variety of pieces, also I love the slouchy effect they have at the ankles when worn with booties.  As winter keeps barrelling down these jeans are sure to get much more use.  Have you been wearing any particular item to death, lately?  Let me know.

Hamptons-Poolside-Chic meets Sue Ellen Ewing Early '80's Realness

Okay, this post title is ridiculous I know, BUT come on, it's accurate am I right? blouse- JOA via Le Tote , necklace/bracelet- Le Tote , trousers- Zara , belt-J.Crew,(similar here ) wedges- Sole Society These pleated drapey pants scream early 80's glamour. Paired with this sailor-suit-esque blouse I was definitely ready for a seaside cocktail party, right? This outfit also called to mind the elegance of early 80's  Dallas .  It has been my experience that as a child of the 80's one's house was either in the Dallas camp or the Dynasty camp. We were a Dallas household for sures. So, one of my earliest style influences was Sue Ellen Ewing . Cowboy Boots & Floral Skirts

Western wear has seen a resurgence here with the Cowboy Carter of it all, among other influences. I'm not one for cowgirl cosplay, but I do enjoy a good boot.
