Outfits Not Just Clothes

I don't know if it's reminiscent of adolescent back-to-school days, or the rustic feel of denim that plays into the woodsy wishes of autumn, but for whatever jean jacket=fall in my style book! Going with white denim flips that script a bit, since white is a warm weather color, however with summer like temperatures lasting until October, a white jean jacket is a great transitional piece that straddles both seasons, sartorially speaking.  The crocheted yoke of this sweater top also bridges the divide between summer and fall, while these leopard flats are right on trend. dress- H&M (similar here from Asos ), necklace/sunnies-Gifted, loafers-Zara(similar here ) You wouldn't think a double-breasted tuxedo-esque coat dress would be all that versatile, however the collar does lend itself to a several stylings--flipped or folded as I've done both in the above shots. Since it's still summery out, I wore this on its own as a dress, but come the cooler months this frock can double as a coat/blazer hybrid, standing as a third piece to a shirt-trousers fall look. I'm also thinking this winter it'll wear well underneath a coat to act as middle layer... we shall see.  For now, it's just chic af, don't you agree?

Of course, you can transition a sundress into fall, and September is the best month for that transition since the days can still be hot and humid. I paired this boho midi with a fitted denim jacket to balance the volume of the skirt, and pop-of-color flats.  There are a two tricks in capturing the essence of the September sundress. First, have a jacket/coverup for the cool mornings that can be easily removed during hot afternoons. Think of pieces like a bomber jacket or a knitwear blazer. dress- eShakti slip-ons- Native Shoes A little chambray dress is a great alternative to a little white dress during these late summer days. I've been on the search for just the right fit, feel, and fabric for quite some time. I think I've found my go-to summer staple with this frock from eShaki . It's easy, flattering, and of course pockets(!!!) I literally threw this on (over a cami), along with my summer slip-ons and sunglasses then headed out the door. And what a beautiful day! You can see the amazing blue sky in the window reflection, with just the right amount of breeze to add some movement to this sweet little dress. What a  simple and pretty summer style moment, right in time or Labor Day!
