Thrifting Trip

 I love a good thrift store, who doesn't, and last month I treated myself to a trip to Thriftique with a goal of checking out men's button-downs and jeans and to try on whatever else caught my eye.

Here's how I started:

Leather Jacket--Nordstrom, Tunic-WildFang, Leggings-Zara, Sneakers-Vans

Men's button-down and jeans. I was looking for men's jeans for a more authentic kind of boyfriend look.

A third men's button-down and these women's tie dye shorts. I think the look on my face says that I was enjoying this combo. 

Anthropologie Dress, yes it had pockets, but wasn't really feeling it very much at all. 

I saw a similar dress out in the wild after my trip, and while I enjoy the color and pattern (it didn't have pockets) I wasn't feeling this as my summer vibe.

I was trying to like this dress, thinking I could wear it for work, or maybe even style it down (with the leather jacket from the first pick and boots) for a kind of punkish 80's look. 

I'm always in the market for a great white summery pant, but these are way too transparent. 

Too many odd do-dads on this short-sleeve sweater shirt. I could have removed some of the less elegant embellishments, looking at you random button, but no, wasn't feeling it. 

I was VERY back and forth on this blazer. The silhouette is similar to some trending designer blazers, big shoulders, defined waist, hour glass shape. However, I just didn't envision myself wearing it, especially with already having similar options in my closet.

In the end I took home the short-sleeved and purple button down, the jeans, and the shorts.
