Outfits Not Just Clothes

 My leather love for spring is still going strong and has move from jackets to pants!  blouse-J.Crew(more options here ), vest-Thrifted(similarish here ), pants-Zara(similar here ), necklace- Benevolence LA , bracelet/ring-Jewel Mint(more options here and here via Poshmark ), sneakers- Vans (Faux) Leather is not only represented in these trousers, but these slip-ons are also rendered in leather.  As I wrote about in this post , leather really can be a springtime fabric especially when paired with spring style stapes like floral prints and pastels. Look closely at the detail shot off the ring and bracelet and you'll see this blouse features buzzy bees in the print. I picked up this button-up a year ago right before we went on lock-down, and blogged it in a working-from-home post here .  I'm also keeping the sweater-vest vibe going from this post .  I think we can all agree that this spring is such a relief and that with more and more folks getting vaccinated there's cracks

 Earlier this month as we started to see the transition from Winter to Spring I busted out my go-to leather jacket in this OOTD post , and while it may not seem like obvious or easy fabric, leather (or faux-leather) makes for some interesting outfitting during the springtime.  jacket-Nordstrom(similar here ), turtleneck-Gap, pants-Uniqlo(similar here ), sneakers-H&M(similar here ), necklace-Sterling Forever(similar here ), ring- Skelton Jewelry And according to this Who What Wear article , I'm right on trend! I contrasted the tough feel of the jacket with these kooky, floral pull-on pants, then added a sporty touch with my go-to white sneakers for an eclectic look that speaks to the season. You may recall these fun bottoms from this post which we shot in the same place as the pictures above! 

 The days are getting warmer, but I can't seem to let go of sweaters, just yet... especially after scoring some great thrifted XL men's sweater vests.  blouse-Gap(more options here ), sweater vest/locket necklace-Thrifted, jodhpurs-Asos(similarish here ), boots-L.L. Bean(similar here ), rings- Mejuri , sunnies-Ralph Lauren(similar here ) Again, I'm giving you some equestrian-English-countryside realness as seen in this post.  And how could I not with these amazing jodhpurs, which have quite a historical place on this blog first appearing all the way back in 2011 !!! Which just goes to show a quality piece will stand the test of time.  As for the rest of this look, I paired a very ladylike blouse with this men's sweater vest and kept the rugged vibe of the jodhpurs going in these pull-on work boots, while keeping the jewelry a bit more romantic. I think that's why I'm so drawn to this aesthetic, it's the mix of rugged and romantic like a classic novel set on
