Shoes!

It's been chilly, snowy, and slushy here in the 'Burgh aka typical winter weather. And with slush and the muck snow boots are de rigueur, which puts a damper in my regular shoe game. So, here's a look back on some past shoe shots from some of my favorite outfits! On dry winter days, you can bust out some fun booties, like this leopard pair layered up with tights AND socks.  Red heels in sunset! Wedge boots in high def from Zara ! Some fun and functional bright kicks from Old Navy Had to include this shot of my peacock backed tights from ModCloth , who needs a statement heel with these hose?  Basic, yet chic Mary Janes from Nine West Patchwork suede boots from DSW Longing for spring looking at these pink loafers via DSW .  KILLAH platform stilettos from Forever 21 ! Bird printed ankle-strap pumps from Asos .  Another statement heel from Asos .  Extreme closeup of some bright pumps!  My trusty polka dot peep-toe

Hats!

I'm of two minds when it comes to hats. First, as a short-haired lady I NEED to wear a hat in winter, and I usually go for your standard knit beanie: Asos A  basic black, or grey, or white usually serves me fairly well. But, lately I've been considering some more playful options! Cats! Asos  Pom Poms! Asos  Secondly, there are hats for outfitting! Straw Fedora TMNT  Cap Very serious in a black fedora  And while, I don't often accessorize with hats, I'm thinking from these above shots it may behoove me (from a style standpoint vs. a functional one) to incorporate different types of head wear this winter, to keep things fresh.  Need Supply A cool-grey fedora = a very chic wintertime topper, no?  I'm also considering berets, which were featured on many Fall/Winter 2016 runways.  Cecile Millinery A wool version with some fun graphics could be quite the pick-me-up during these cold and gloomy days.

A Vintage Feel

coatigan- Le Tote , dress/ belt - Gap (more dresses here ), necklace- chloe + isabel , flats- Dr. Scholls You may recall this dress from several years ago in this post . It was on a hiatus during my pregnancy and post-partum period. But now it's front and center, and giving me some subtle vintage vibes! The fit-n-flare silhouette is very 50's, while the print is reminiscent of Gothic Victorian patterns.  And speaking of patterns, I'm of course print-mixing by topping this look with a checkerboard coatigan ! Overall, am loving the color palette here, the prints, and the silhouette of this outfit.  Also, one more day left in my Rent the Runway Coat Vote !

Resort Cardigan

Yep those are TWO strips of bacon in my Bloody Mary! cardigan-Anthropologie(more options here ), shirt- BB Dakota via Le Tote   joggers- Le Tote , flats- Dr. Scholls , watch-Michael Kors(similar here  and on sale!), bag- Longchamp Last weekend, Mr. Keller and I took a #weekendgetaway to Bedford Springs  for some much needed R & R. These pics with my fantastic bloodie from the lobby bar, are at the gazebo on the far side of the resort. You may recall a past visit featured   here .  Needless to say it's a very special place and this is a very special cardigan! Luxurious, flattering, and fashionable, I mixed these graphic stripes with some boho flair in the lace-trimmed shirt and printed joggers. My comfy black flats and standard Longchamp bag made this the perfect resort outfit!  For more pics from our weekend, follow me on instagram !

Cords Away

blazer-J.Crew(similar here ), shirt/ cords -Gap(similar shirt here ), boots-Landsend(similar here ), ring- Le Tote , necklace-Vintage I love corduroy as a casual trouser for the fall and winter, as seen here and here ! This boot cut pair is very flattering and pairs perfectly with a blazer and blouse. I went with duck boots since it's been fairly rainy here in Pittsburgh. For the spring, I'm thinking these cords with a striped tee and white sneakers would make a fun nautical outfit... we shall see.  Oh, and be sure to vote on yesterday's coat rental post !
