Camo, for so long the go-to print of hunters and soldiers, has now worked its way into the civilian style of dress. When you think of everyday people on the street wearing camo it's not with the most flattering of connotations--bumpkin, hill billie, backwoods. But, camo has gone from redneck, to punk rock, to hip hop, to street style chic. And when I see chic I have to pounce! So, I've picked up a couple of interesting items:
I'm 99% sure that I won't be pairing these two pieces together, but I'm definitely going to give it a go.. But, a woman cannot live on camo alone, so I also ordered these tights:
Maybe... just maybe these tights and the shirt dress above will work together, you know I love pattern mixing, but we shall see, oh the possibilities!!!
Also, past-purchase update! Remember my post on this skirt from Banana Repbulic:
Was a COMPLETE! FMO(for models only, thanks Tom and Lorenzo for this wonderful term of phrase, it gives us "real" ladies one less thing to feel bad about.). Yeah, after trying out two different sizes it was pretty obvious anyone with a waist wider than 25'' and height under 5' 10'' was not going to be able to pull off this gorgeous, but yet monstrous skirt.
