dress-Elie Tahari via Rent the Runway available here, jacket-Mikkat Market(similar here), ring-Francesca's(similar here), necklace-Jewel Mint, watch-Nixon, via Urban Outfitters, bag-Vintage, heels-Gifted
Why hello there! I know, it's been a while since my last post (over a week!) but I was on vacay with friends at the beach and left reality behind, which was AMAZING! I may post some pics, depending on when I get a chance to sift through them all.
Anyway, now I'm back and posting this Elie Tahari dress I rented for my birthday cocktail party at Acacia. I topped off the glamorous number with a rugged military-inspired jacket to keep things edgy. This neclace keep the edge going and complements the sheen of the front panel. In some lights it looks navy, in others teal, here it has a greenish tint. You have to be careful with material that "changes color" it can be crappy-tacky-tastic if not done elegantly. But no worries with this dress here, very elegant if I do say so myself. The shoes and bag were a no-brainer, kept things sleek and black so the dress is the star.
And I think this Soul II Soul song sums up my current state of mind:
