Cat Dress Meow!


Yes, this dress has put a cat on it!

Earlier this week Mr. Keller and I had a mid-week date night to check out Salt of the Earth in East Liberty.  I decided to bust out my cat dress.  I felt this was a quirky librarian type outfit, especially with this caridgan and my eye-glasses necklace.  The cut outs in the back, though gave it sex-kitten vibe.  Hahaha, get it? Cat dress--sex kitten. Well Mr. Keller thought it was funny.  Here are a few pics of our dinner date:

By dinner's end we were both quite full and just wanted to get home, but alas mid-week date night ran right smack into mid-week errands so we went to Target, which I do not recommend after two bourbon cocktails, it was an experience.....

Rent the Runway to the Rescue

So after the semi-disastrous dress vote from last week I took the stiletto by the heel, aka reserved this Slate & Willow dress from Rent the Runway  for the wedding in July.  Slate & Willow I had my eye on this as a possible outfit for the Tilda Swinton event I attended last month (fancy I know!) But, ended up going pretty casual since it was just a film screening. An AMAZING screening, but not a dressy affair nonetheless.  Anyway, this striped sheath has so many good reviews from a variety of fellow renters in all shapes and sizes, I didn't see one unflattering user pic, so I'm fairly confident this frock will serve my needs come July. Annie Lennox Realness!

Love the tuxedo detail of these cropped pants. coat/pants-Jcrew(similar here and here ), blazer-Zara(similar here ), shirt-Asos(sort of similar here ), shoes-DSW(really cool here ), gloves-Brian Atwood for Neiman Marcus/Target(more gloves here ), sunglasses-Banana Republic(similar here ) I'm feeling very Annie Lennox circa Eurythmics in this outfit, eh? Most times wearing a coat is a necessity, not necessarily an intricate part of the outfit, but here it really makes the look.
