The Hair of It All

blazer/sweater-Gap(similar here and here ), vest-Old Navy(similar here ), jeans- Levi's , necklace / ring -Mejuri, boots- Columbia Sportswear So my hair is a thing that exists on my head. I'm debating on whether or not, and what type of haircut I should get. Part of me wants to keep growing it out, but even to do so it would probably be helpful to get a trim and set myself up for success with the start of a style that lends itself to more growth. Or, I could go back to pre-Covid pixie...  Either way, I'm embracing blazers here as we gear up for November.  This month can be tricky when it comes to outerwear. Some days are freezing and some are quite pleasant, which means the layering game is afoot as you start to navigate the end of autumn. Fleece pieces are key when it comes to layers, this cozy vest is just the thing to add a bit more warmth to this overized blazer and basic black sweater. Leather Jacket Season Part 2

jacket / boots -Nordstrom, shirt-Gap(similar here ), pants-Banana Republic Factory(similar here ), sunnies-DIFF Eyewear(similar here ), pin- Wildfang Another great leather jacket look for fall! In keeping with the theme of my first LJOOTD post , I'm again posing in from of a colorful mural! This one of the Hulk and Wolverine can be found in the strip district near the 31st street bridge.  The tag is "crass boys" but I couldn't find anything from a quick Google for more info.  As to the outfit, sporting my new combat boots with this jacket, while mixing in some quirky polka-dot pants. And what badass female ensemble would be complete without a Ruth Bader Ginsburg pin! Representing  gender equality and powerful women, and hoping for a brighter, socially just future.  Election days is upon us. If you haven't already, please make a plan to vote, either in person, or mailing in your ballot here in the next few days.  Voting is a right that many have fought, we...

Tuxedo Jumpsuit

cardigan-Piperlime(similar here via ThredUp ), jumpsuit- TJMaxx (available here via ThredUp ), sneakers- H&M , ring- Skelton Jewelry God I love a jumpsuit! And a sidestripe, and black n' white, AND contrasting dressy pieces with a sportier fare, and it all came together in this OOTD for a recent brunch at Jasper's Backyard . What can I say, all the pieces of this look (the jumpsuit, the tennis cardi, the sneakers, and jewelry) feel seamless, yet unexpected, and graphic, while being chic if I do say so myself.  And why I wouldn't normally recommend dining out in a jumpsuit, because you know going to the bathroom can be tricky, I felt that the occasion of brunch, a rarity even before covid, deserved something extra special.
