London Fashion Week

London Fashion Week by bernadetteulsamer featuring a white floral shirt London Fashion week has just wrapped up and now the fashion Jet Set are in Milan, next up Paris.  I wasn't able to attend this year, big surprise I know, but if I had the chance I would have rocked some designer pieces like the outfit pictured above.  But, let's be real, this is all just a fantasy. Maybe, one day I could sneak into an NYC show, but London and the rest probably aren't in my future. A girl can always dream.  And in my dream I would be sporting this gorgeous Burberry coat over some Stella McCartney bejeweled shorts and sweater, with killer Vivenne Westwood heels!  Everything in this look, except for the jewelry are from British brands with which is only appro when you're running around Piccadilly Square, am I right?  Fantasy aside, this is a type of outfit I would totally wear IRL.  Flirty cocktail shorts with graphic tights, heeled booties, and a printed b...

Leather & Textured Knit

Love how the bracelet sort of mimics the sweater's texture here.  Yep those are legwarmers over my tights, sneaking in another layer against the cold.  coat-Columbia Sportswear(similarish here ), sweater-BCBGeneratio via Le Tote (similar here ), shirt- Banana Republic , skirt-Search for Sanity(warmer weather version  here ), legwarmers- Uniqlo , boots- Nine West , necklace- Jewel Mint , bracelet-Noir Luxe via Le Tote (more options here ) More cool blues, but this time mixed with black instead of beige as in Monday's post here . The collared shirt under textured knit is always a win for my office during the winter. This skirt is conservative in silhouette, but edgy with it's leather-like fabric, paired with the boots it's bringing a bit of fierce into mid-week work wear. Ideally, I would have taken off the coat for these shots, but it's fairly innocuous in these pictures, and it was COLD outside. I've braved the e...

Peaky Blinders Realness

Mr. Keller and I spent most of Sunday curled up on the couch binge watching the Netflix original series Peaky Blinders and my outfit yesterday felt the effects. coat-Willow & Clay via Le Tote (similar here ), blouse- ModCloth , trousers/shoes-Zara(similar here and here ), scarf-J.Crew Factory(similar here ), neclace- Sam Edelman via Le Tote , rings- Jewel Mint   and ViVI(similar here ) The show is set in post-WW1 Birmingham, England and this duster coat is giving me all kinds of 1919 industrial-chic realness. Proof:: image via the Concourse These trousers with their cropped silhouette and tweed-like feel add to the street urchin effect, while also giving an athleisure nod with the side-stripe. Having a mostly androgynous overall look I went with statement/heavy jewelry with this necklace and these rings, which is a shout out to the show's main female character Aunt Polly .  She rocks cocktail rings like she...

Blazer, T-Shirt, Cords, Oh My!

blazer-J.Crew(similar here ) cords- J.Crew Factory , tee-Madewell(similar here ), necklace- chloe + isabel c/o Angela B . , bracelete-Noir Luxe via Le Tote (more options here ), boots- L.L. Bean sunnies-ViVI(similar here ), scarf-NYC street vendor.  This is a fairly ho-hum look. It's a spin-off from the standard t-shirt and jeans, but with a blazer, cords, and some glam jewelry to step things up a bit. I'm loving the color combo here with these cool blues of the tee, bracelet, and in the tweedy mix of the blazer. And I know we've been seeing these boots a ton, but hey look at the snow on the ground people, it's duck-boot season! So yeah, nothing revolutionary happening here, just a solid semi-casual, seasonally appropriate outfit for you on a Monday.
