Outfits Not Just Clothes

Over the Christmas weekend I discovered another interesting/independent store Kansas City Kitty . And they have their own matchbooks! tunic sweater- Promesa , socks--??? Here's the catch, this awesome, conscientious, and super-cute store is located in Fort Collins, Colorado... So, if you're a Coloradian..? Coloradoer...? Caoloradite...? reader then take a halfsie and a road trip to the FC (I'm sure they don't call it that, but I do!) and check out Kansas City Kitty. If you ever find yourself near the FC, make some room in your itinerary and stop by for a quick visit at their Old Town location.

The weather was on the warmish side this past weekend so I layered up in this flannel, zip-up jacket, and puffy vest instead of donning a coat. Finished off this outfit with a delicate necklace and these fun kicks, perfect for running around. My hair here is pretty epic, am I right?

Hi all! Outfits Not Just Clothes will be taking a tiny break this week and next. I'm off to Colorado for the holidays, as I mentioned in this post .  I won't be blogging from there, but I hope to be taking lots of pictures to share with you in the new year. I'm loving how these necklaces contrast and compliment each other, and play off the chain motif in the scarf.  dress-J.Crew Factory(similar here ), blazer- Gap , shoes-Zara(similar here ), necklaces- Cookie Lee , bracelet- Jewel Mint , bracelet /watch-Michael Kors(similar watch here ), scarf-Vintage/Gifted This is a pretty straightforward outfit of a blazer with a dress and scarf so I wanted to do something interesting with the jewelry. It's subtle, but I'm mixing both gold and silver pieces together. Usually, I'll either stick with one or the other, but I thought it would be fun to wear both with this look. \ Also, I know this scarf is not achieving it's full style potential being just thrown on. I'm going to have to play around and see how else I can wear it... maybe a scarf-tying tutorial for a future post!

It's just a simple, yet chic, option for this time of year when things are getting a bit too brash with red n' green all over the place.  Also, am loving the texture on this sweater, and how it plays off the accents on the boots.
