Rented this dress for some formal family pics and luckily had two BIG work meetings in the same week. Here is the work styling with sensible loafers, a statement ring, and long coin-inspired necklace. It's a subtle detail, but the "coins" nod to commerce aka business aka work... see what I did there?!

Regardless of the accessories, this dress is all-around awesome. The fuller sleeve, pockets, and slightly nipped waist are serving me bananas-level wow! Not to sound vain, but I look amazing, eh? Sorry to have to send this one back, but I made quite the impression at the office (numerous compliments) and hopefully the photos turn out well. 40 Year Old Cottagecore

Rent the Runway to the Rescue

So after the semi-disastrous dress vote from last week I took the stiletto by the heel, aka reserved this Slate & Willow dress from Rent the Runway for the wedding in July. Slate & Willow I had my eye on this as a possible outfit for the Tilda Swinton event I attended last month (fancy I know!) But, ended up going pretty casual since it was just a film screening. An AMAZING screening, but not a dressy affair nonetheless. Anyway, this striped sheath has so many good reviews from a variety of fellow renters in all shapes and sizes, I didn't see one unflattering user pic, so I'm fairly confident this frock will serve my needs come July.
