Texture Town

Not only am I finally posting after weeks of sickness, house guests, and general winter malaise, but this look features some of my favorite color combos and textures. This skirt, as you can see in the closeup shots, boasts some threaded loveliness in shades of brown, orange, yellow, and pink. Normally, I'd pick a hue from the skirt for a matching top, but I wasn't feeling the orange sweater I usually don with this skirt (last seen here ). Instead, I turned to a favorite go-to--Navy. Leather Pants--An Edgy Alternative

coat-H&M(more options here ), turtleneck- Le Tote , pants-Zara(similar here ), sneakers- Vans , necklace-Jewel Mint, watch-Michael Kors(similar here )  The last time I featured faux-leather trousers was back in April 2019 here , and previous to that, all the way back in January 2018(!!!) in this post .  In between those posts I had a baby and have gone through various body transitions and weight fluctuations, which is all part of having a female body that produces children, right?   So, here we are in a new year with a new season approaching and I've treated myself to a new pair of faux-leather pants! For this OOTD I paired them with a striped turtleneck, plaid overcoat, and some well-worn Vans.  Turtlenecks are on trend this season, which makes sense as they are a key garment for combating cold weather and easy to layer.
