Little Chambray Dress

dress- eShakti slip-ons- Native Shoes A little chambray dress is a great alternative to a little white dress during these late summer days. I've been on the search for just the right fit, feel, and fabric for quite some time. I think I've found my go-to summer staple with this frock from eShaki . It's easy, flattering, and of course pockets(!!!) I literally threw this on (over a cami), along with my summer slip-ons and sunglasses then headed out the door. And what a beautiful day! You can see the amazing blue sky in the window reflection, with just the right amount of breeze to add some movement to this sweet little dress. What a  simple and pretty summer style moment, right in time or Labor Day!

No Snooze Button on Style

vest-thrifted(similar here from Mango ), shirtdress / jeans -Gap, loafers-Liz Claiborne(similar here ) This button-down is actually a sleep shirt, and I purposefully got it in a large for an oversized slouchey feel. Wearing a baggy nightgown may not sound like the most dynamic or chic outfitting strategy, however I swear I'm not falling asleep at the style wheel, but instead playing with the proportions created by this collared vest, which one could argue is more of a sleeveless blazer, and skinny rolled white jeans. Overall, this feels quite modern, no? I also love the transitional feel of this OOTD as we begin to see signs of Autumn on the horizon. I think a crisp white jean and a tailored third piece is an easy way to wear warm-weather shirts, lounge pieces, and even dresses into fall. What say you?

Floral Culottes

shirt-J.Crew(similarish here ), culottes-Target(similar here ), necklace-Jewel Mint(similar here via Poshmark ), loafers-G.H.Bass(similar here ) Yes, the basic brick is not the most exciting back drop for this vibrant summertime OOTD, but on these hot and sticky days we're just jumping out to grab some quick pics on the way home. Of course that shouldn't deter from these amaze floral culottes! You may recall them from past summers  here and here  where I layered button-downs, sweaters, and blazers for office appropriate looks. Now in August I'm just trying to stave off sweat while keeping the color story rolling in this teal sleeveless blouse and coral loafers.

Pineapples & Culottes

shirt/necklace-H&M(maternity version here and similar necklace here ), culottes-Mango(similar here ), flats- Dr. Scholls   You may recall this sequined pineapple top from a few summers ago in this post . Then I paired it with joggers and Vans. For this OOTD I've gone more sophisticated with culottes and leopard print flats. You may not think a novelty-print t-shirt would be very versatile, but since it's rendered in black (as opposed to white ) and the pineapples are fairly delicate in size this shirt feels more like a basic with a twist, rather than a graphic tee and lends itself to both casual and classy outfits.
