Last of the Floral Culottes

striped shirt-Uniqlo(similarish here ), button-down tunic-Mango(similar here ), culottes-Target(similar here ), loafers- G.H. Bass Yesterday's striped shirt was the standout piece, for this OOTD it's an understated layer beneath floral cullottes and a split-hemmed button-down tunic, both standout pieces respectively.  My point being that stripes work both as a graphic print, and a neutral. But the real story here are these culottes, seen here , here and here . On this last day of August I'm saying "so long" to this cropped pant. They had a good run, starting in April, all the way through two seasons. Don't worry, they aren't headed to the donate pile (just yet) but soon they'll be packed away for the coming winter. Sleep well my lovelies. 😴💓

Orange Stripes

T-shirt-Style Mint(available here from Poshmark ), vest/loafers-Zara(similar here and here ), trousers- Uniqlo , necklace- Forever 21 (similar here from Poshmark ) A straight-forward, menswear-inspired office OOTD for you here! Sometimes an outfit can be just some simple trousers, some stripes, and a vest to pull it all together. Happy Wednesday!

A Casual Badass

vest-Gap(similarish here ), T-shirt- ModCloth , leggings-Zara(similar here ), sneakers- Vans Black tee, leggings, vans, and a denim vest = a badass look for the weekend. My only regret in this OOTD is that vest doesn't have side pockets...😞

Black & Navy Basics

cardi-J.Crew(similar here ), dress-DVF(similarish here via Poshmark ), leggings- Girlfriend Collective , slides-Old Navy(similar here ), necklace-Le Tote(similar here ) This OOTD started out with my navy n' black DVF shift dress. (Yes those are pockets!) Then some functional layering happened (what with the FREEZING AC at work ❄🏢), hence the oversized cardigan and leggings. Function aside, I'm kind of digging the minimalism that's happening here. Playing around with the cardi gives these pics some chic drama, and the athletic leggings plays into a mini-trend for me this summer, "office-leisure" as discussed in this post . Basic yes, but an outfit nonetheless!

A Dress Question

I recently ordered this shirtdress from ModCloth : Broadcast Coordinator Shirtdress thinking it would be a perfect work dress for this coming fall and winter. It's professional without being stuffy, has some texture with the clip dotted material, provides the kind of coverage I prefer, AND pockets! Alas, when it arrive the bust was WAY too tight, I could get it buttoned, but it was bordering on absence. Yes, I could have gone up a size, but maybe it's my vanity, or the fact that from my perspective my body is still in transition from having my baby... but I just didn't want to go up. So I returned it.  Looking back over my past ModCloth orders I've returned more things than I've kept over the past two years... and I'm starting to realize I've aged-out of ModCloth.  But all is not lost, I've started digging into eShakti and I think my work dress conundrum will soon have a solution, but I need your help!
