Beaching It

Headed to Lewes, Delaware this weekend with my Mom. It's been ages since I've been to the shore.  I have this great one-piece from Landsend that keeps everything up where it should be and tucked in.  I like to wear a sheer-ish tank dress as a coverup with just a simple necklace as an accessory.  Of course a big ole sun hat and big black sunglasses are a must.  Have a great weekend! ZARA SALE!!!

So Zara is having one of their rare sales and I jumped right in head first. Accordion Pleat Skirt Strappy Sandal Messenger Bag with Edging Blouse with Lace Lace Shirt Collar What I find myself doing in situations like these is to troll the whole site and add anything I like to my chart.  Then I go to the cart and assess what I REALLY want/need. I also ask myself which items are going to add and be verstile in my wardrobe and then I cut it down.  Of course, there are pieces I really want and will be fabulous, but if the cost per wear is outrageously high then I have to let them go.   Happy shopping.

Vest Outfit

Great details on this blouse. Zipper bracelet next to vest buttons. vest- H&M , blouse-Gap(really lovely option here ), skirt-Banana Republic(similar here ), heels-Zara(not similar, but same vibe here ), necklace-gifted, bracelet- JewelMint My work life right now is meetings, meetings, meetings and to switch things up I left the blazer at home and rocked the office out in a vest "suit." I've realized that I need to invest in more vests.(hahaha, see what I did there) They work just as well as a blazer in pulling an outfit together and they help create shape by slimming down the midsection. Plus which, they are a bit unexpected, people don't seam to wear them as part of suit anymore.  Oh and just think of the waistcoat possibilities!!!!! Yes more vests please.

Threadflip

You may recall my making mention of Threadflip from this post .  Well I'm kind of obessed with it and am currently craving the following items: What I find most drawn to on the site are those unique, quirky, off beat pieces. Of course, there's some great discounts for designer labels and more standard clothing items for those not in the market for a wolf t-shirt, mod car coat, and/or a deer antler cuff. So far I've only shopped on this site, but I'm feeling a closet purge coming on here and I plan on posting some items to sell.  Stay tuned.

White Shorts Outfit

Two thoughts... 1. I look like I'm not wearing pants. 2. Mr. Keller thinks this bag looks like I'm making a deposit at the bank. shorts- Jcrew , top- Jason Wu for Target , blazer/ bracelet -Mikkat Market(similar here ), sneakers- Converse , necklace-Forever21(another owl necklace here ), bag- American Apparel , ring- Jewel Mint , sunnies- Ralph Lauren   I just picked up these white denim shorts at Jcrew and have been wearing the crap out of them. How did I survive for so long without them? They are a summer must-have.  For running some errands I decided class up my shorts and sneakers look with this blazer and some delicate jewelry.  I also wanted to give my new carryall from American Apparel a swing and even though it's quite chic, a bag with a strap is way more functional.

White Hot!

My Mo is a bit jacked... dress-Jcrew(similar here ), blazer-H&M(similar here ), necklace- Bauble Bar , shoes- Zara , sunnies- Ralph Lauren Okay, I'm not crazy about how these pictures turned out and I almost didn't post them.  However, in person this outfit was WHITE HOT! I find wearing all white in the summer can verge on the expected/boring.  To keep from doing so I like to mix in accessories that really pop like my new necklace from Bauble Bar and these heels that have made several appearances already as seen here and here . I think they have officially become my Heels of Summer 2012, I better get a press release ready.

Professional Woman Outfit

blazer/skirt-Zara(similar here and here ), blouse- H&M , belt-Urban Outfitters(similar here ), necklace/shoes-Forever 21(kind of similar here and here ), ring/bracelet- Jewel Mint , sunnies- Ralph Lauren It is all business today my friends and I am a professional Woh-man! Work has been busy, as it always is this time of year with meetings, annual reviews, end of fiscal year reports, blah, blah, blah.  The one advantage is that I have the perfect excuse to bust out my big gun office outfits like the above.  I feel like the right outfit, especially at work, can really help me feel component to meet my goals, or at the very least make it look like I'm on top of everything.

Anthropologie Recent Buys

I'm currently awaiting the arrival of the following items: Ombre Quince Ruffled Shorts Sea Nettle Blazer Freehand Line Top Call me crazy but, I kind of think all three of these pieces could make an outfit.  There are super sales going on at Anthro check it out here .  Also, I just signed up for their extra perks "club" which includes, birthday discounts and early access to sales and special offers.  Check it out here . Full disclosure, Anthropologie has not paid me for this shout out I'm just feeling the love.

More Orange and a Blazer Repeat--Dynamic Pieces Only Outfit

These teal bits act like mini-shoulder pads, in a good way. blazer-Asos(similar here ), blouse- American Apparel , trousers / belt -Jcrew, necklace- H&M , bracelet- JewelMint, heels-Forever21(similar here ) As I said in this post I'm having trouble not wearing this blazer with everything and as you can see here I lost that fight.  I just couldn't resist throwing it on, however I'm not so sure that it is the star of this outfit.  The trousers of course are awesomely orange, the blouse is a great color combo with stand out details, and the necklace is statement with a capital MENT.  Sometimes I outfit around one dynamic piece and other times I outfit with only dynamic pieces.  Here we have the latter, but one has to be careful, throwing on a bunch of heavy hitters can end up a heavy hot mess. I think the fact that this blouse and trousers, while liberal in color, are conservative in silhouette keeping the outfit from being too far flung.  Wo
