Outfits Not Just Clothes

This OOTD is all about layers?  First a base of a turtleneck and tights, then a mid layer of tweedy shorts and a chambray shirt. Then topping it off with this plaid coat, boots, and necklace. I love necklaces worn over turtlenecks, it's the perfect backdrop to highlight a statement piece, or make a fairly simple chain feel more special. Bass Factory Outlet , necklaces-Gifted from Lucky Feather and Etsy , bracelet- BaYou with Love , ring- Mejuri I know I'm "j.crewing" all over myself in this outfit, but you can't beat their classic preppy and plaid pieces for fall. This look is an example of my go-to style uniform since I started this blog ( here , here , here , & here ). I often wear this outfit formula of cropped trousers, button-down, blazer, and loafers when I don't know what else to wear. And it can be quite versatile, you can swap in jeans, or replace the blazer with an overcoat, play around with layers, you're only limited by your imagine.

Of course another leather jacket OOTD here for fall, and the glorious autumn afternoon sunshine, paying tribute to RBG , and of course TRAINS! Two trains went by in the time it took to get these shots.  We also had to dodge a few cars since I'm in the middle of the street. As for the outfit, I'm keeping the turtleneck action  going with a standard black turtleneck, grey trousers, and sporty sneakers.  The jacket, shoes, and pin really elevate this sweater and pants into an unexpectedly edgy look.
