Animals Always on Trend

sweater-Asos(similar here ), pants/shirt-Zara(similar here and here ), necklace-Banana Republic(more options here ), boots- Sam Edelman via Nordstrom I've had this tiger-face sweater for years, as seen here , here , and here . At the time (2012ish) I picked up this jumper, Givenchy was all about bold fierce tiger fronts for their Menswear collection. Half a decade + later, Gucci was(and still is) hocking tiger prints brand-wide. Now, Stella McCartney's Pre-Fall collection features a lion(aka the tiger's country cousin) sweater!!! Which just goes to show that trends/fashion is cyclical in nature and statement pieces are worth holding onto because they do come back around!  Beyond my high-fashion trend sense, this OOTD is functional, work-appropriate, androgyny, and easy to wear!

One Great Knit

sweater- BCBGeneration via Le Tote , blouse-Proenza Schouler for Target (similar here from Poshmark ), culottes-Everlane(similar here ), boots-Nine West(similar here ), bracelet-Gifted from World Finds (similar here ) This textured, short-sleeve sweater is one great knit! It provides a semi-structured silhouette, while being easy to wear, and fun to layer! I love how well it pairs up with this herringbone print blouse, while the split sides and square cut mirror the shape of the culottes. Also, with the ruffled neckline properly zuzhed to peak out, there's no need for a necklace. Pattern, texture, shape, and simplicity all in one chic black & white OOTD!

ModCloth Style Gallery

I recently started posting on ModCloth's Style Gallery (I know, took me long enough) and here are my OOTD pics thus far (with links to the original posts): Windowpanes & Leather Birds & Sea Creatures More Than a Vest A Case for Dresses & Socks What an an eclectic mix of styles on display, if I do say so myself. 😉 And while I may have "aged out" of the ModCloth core demographic they are still part of my retail roster when I'm looking for basics, like the olive tunic in the top pick, and something with a bit of feminine flair, like this retro-inspired dress .  Be sure to follow me on the Style Gallery here !

Outerwear Alternatives

coat-Gap(similarish here ), blouse-Anthroplogie(similar here ), dress-Max Studio(similar here ), necklace-Gifted(similar here from Macy's), scarf- American Apparel , boots- Sam Edelman via Norsdstrom , cuff-Vintage Looks like the bout of warm weather is adios and we're back to freezing temps and snowy mornings. Fortunately, I was able to don some lighter-weight outerwear earlier this week, hence this over-sized blazer-jacket hybrid from Gap. I paired it with a grid-print knit jumper layered over a long-sleeve, pop-of-color blouse for a mostly black and white OOTD. Also noteworthy in this look are these waterproof boots! You may recall they were on my 2018 #musthaves list from this post . I ordered several pairs, and found these Chelsea Boots to be the best fit.
