Breezy Stripes & Pleats

sweater/tank/slides-Old Navy(similar here , here , and here ), trousers-Zara(similarish here ), necklace-Gifted, ring- Le Tote , watch-Michael Kors(similar here ) How chic is this outfit?!!!! I am loving the black and cream color palette, the stripes, the slouchy pleated trousers--it's all giving me LIFE here in the dog days of summer. I wore this for work, and while I wouldn't normally bust out a tank top for the office, have this "matching" pullover to drape over my shoulders kept the amount of skin coverage appropriate. Plus, this oversized sweater was a necessity with how freezing my beige cage has become from the overload of AC.

Crochet with Cardigan

cardi-Banana Republic(similar here ), tank- Old Navy , trousers-J.Crew(similarish here ), wedges-Sole Society(similar here ), ring/necklace-Jewel Mint(available here via Etsy and similar here at PoshMark , watch-Michael Kors(similar here ) You may recall this top from this post here . I've styled in a VERY similar way for this #OOTD. It's just a great summer piece that lends itself to an oversized/slouchey aesthetic. I'm also loving the idea of lightweight cardigans as blazer alternatives to office wear. Combined with looser-fit cropped trousers it's a great summer work uniform!

This is The Way Wednesday Ends

sweater/shirt-Martin & Osa(similar here and here from Uniqlo ), pants-Uniqlo(similar here ), flats-Dr. Scholls(similar here ), necklace- Le Tote , ring-Jewel Mint(similar here from PoshMark ) Monday my 1101st post  dropped not so much with a bang, but with plaid. Today's post to be fair is a bit more of a whimper, but still a solid office outfit that gives a nod toward the weather (like yesterday's post ). It's taken a chilly turn here in Pittsburgh. The past few days have felt more like late September than end of July, so I've busted out some autumn vibes in this outfit. Red and navy is a classic color combo, and while not setting the fashion world on fire, makes for some polished work wear for a Wednesday. Also, extra points for anyone who can tell me in the comments the poem I'm referencing in the title and first 2 sentences above!

Cloud Print for a Grey Day

blazer-Gap(similar here ), blouse-Anthropologie(similarish here ), pants-Uniqlo(similar here ), loafers- G.H. Bass , necklace-H&M(similar here ), ring-Jewel Mint(available here on PoshMark ), sunnies-Ralph Lauren(similar here ) Like in yesterday's post I'm print-mixing, but this time I'm mixing in one garment! This blouse has both a windowpane pattern and a cloudy novelty print! It may seem kind of hokey, but I really like to bust out my weather-related shirts to match the forecast. Hence, this button-down on overcast days, and this blouse on the rainy days. Does it mean something that I don't have a sunshine printed top for the bright days? It IS true that the Pittsburgh climate doesn't lend itself to sunny weather, or maybe it's just my dark, nuanced, poetic nature the prefers the grey sky... woe is me...

My 1101st Post!

shirt- Skies Are Blue via Le Tote , shorts-Landsend(more options here ), belt-J.Crew(more options here ), flats-Dr. Scholls(similar here ), necklace- Lucky Feather This is my 1101st post!!! It kind of snuck up on me, but when I logged in this morning I noticed that I had 1100 published posts so yeah, way to go me! There's nothing groundbreaking with this OOTD, but it does hit all of my style go-to's--print-mixing with plaid, anchors, & polka dots, a pop of color with the pink belt, and an overall blue palette.  I wish I had something profound to write here on my 1101st post... but it's a Monday after a very hot & sticky weekend I got a million emails to follow-up on, plus some freelance writing to get done, and I want to hit the gym at lunch. So yeah, just another working outfitter trying to look her best! Thanks for reading!
