Shirtdress in Action

blazer-Banana Republic(similarish here ), shirtdress- H&M , leggings- Old Navy Maternity , boots-DSW(similar here ), ring-Jewel Mint(similar here from Poshmark ), necklace-Gifted I featured this shirtdress/tunic on a recent buys post  and am loving it! The color, the fit, the pockets(!!!!) all right up my style alley and quite flattering to my bump. This will also serve me well in the fall when I return to work post-baby. Speaking of fall, yes this OOTD is a bit more autumnal than spring-like, what with the tweedy blazer and knee-high boots, but after the snowy spring we've had here in Pittsburgh I'm not feeling pastels and bare legs just yet. Plus, I'm off the sartorial opinion that olive/military green and navy is a chic, year-round color combo, so there you go!

Badass Bump

jacket-Guess(similar here ), T-shirt- ModCloth , jeans- Old Navy Maternity , sneakers-gifted(similar here via DSW ), sunnies- Target It's been a while since I busted out my leather moto jacket, last seen here . This past weekend I needed a bit of badass-ery in my outfitting, because I needed to feel a bit of my old self back. It's been a semi-rough 3rd trimester so far. Feeling physical worn-out and emotionally out-of-sorts much more so than in my first pregnancy, I turned to this jacket and easy T-shirt to put myself together a bit and feel more on top of things. Which just speaks to the power of clothes and fashion, yes this is a pretty simple OOTD, but the color, the fit, the fabric all came together for not only sartorial, but emotional polish.

Graphic Floral & Stripes

wrap-ModCloth(more cardigans here ), dress- Anne Klein via Macy's , necklaced-Gifted, watch-Michael Kors(similar options here ), flats- Dr. Scholls , sunnies- Target   This mididress was the result from this vote post last month. I ordered a size up to accommodate my bump, but will be able to wear it after baby since it has an adjustable drawstring, plus pockets! This dress is another example of how non-maternity wear that can work during pregnancy. The loose silhouette that's adjustable serves the third trimester body, a body in transition, and eventually the return to the pre-pregnant body(fingers crossed), much like the min-dress as tunic from this OOTD post .    Now that all sounds very functional, which it is, but the bold graphic floral, paired with this striped wrap cardi shows that by no means am I giving up on style for the sake of function. It may take a bit more forethought and strategy when it comes to picking pie

Sunny Day Stripes

vest-J.Crew(similar here ), shirt- H&M , jeans- Old Navy Maternity , flats-Dr. Scholls(similar here ) What a gorgeous weekend we just had! I wore these bright stripes for Friday morning errands when the sun was out and the wind was blowing with the joys of spring!  I featured this shirt in a recent buys post , and am loving how well it coordinates with my classic pinstriped puffer vest in this casual, maternity OOTD.
