What a View!

We found ourselves up on Mount Washington last weekend and were able to get some quick outfit pics. And without meaning to, I'm matching the landscape in my grey colorbock cardi over a black n' white polka-dot tunic!

Blue Boho Ensemble

Jacket-Octavia via Le Tote , Joggers-Gap(similar here ), boots- Columbia Sportswear , scarf-Vintage(similarish here via Poshmark ) Last Saturday before the big storm and major drop in temperature I was out and about in this blue boho ensemble. The cut of this jacket, called for a fitted bottom, but I wasn't really feeling leggings or skinnies, so I went with a slim-style jogger. Comfort is really my driving force when it comes to weekend outfitting, hence my supportive, no frills hiking boots, last seen here . But don't get me wrong, I'm not slubbing around. Case in point: To play up this outerwear's embroidery I accessorized with a "vintage" scarf. In fact this piece is some straight-up personal vintage as I've had it for almost 20 years!!! But, the subtle mixing of menswear-inspired footwear and outerwear, with playful trousers, and a curve-enhancing sweater make for some dynamic office apparel.

That's Quite a Coat

And look, it has a hood!  coat- Mordernmiss via Amazon , dress- Wren & Ivory , boots- Columbia Sportswear At first glance, this poncho-esque denim trench may appear a bit ridiculous and over the top. But, I have been semi-obsessed with it for over a year, as it lingered on my Amazon Wish List. When my brother texted asking what he could get me for Xmas I sent this coat his way. Deep down I needed the push of some one else buying it because it's not the most practical outerwear. Of course style doesn't have to be practical, and while I love this coat, it's not meant for the chilly Pittsburgh winter, nor does it gel with my professional wardrobe all that well. This is a coat for mild, non-work days, that I can throw over my tired old "mom" clothes and feel like I'm stepping out with some sort of quirky style. It's a super fun piece paired with my go-to breastfeeding-friendly dress and red-laced hik
