Another super-chic black n' white ensemble here this summer! I've sporting a number of black n' white looks this season, see here, here, here, AND here. Using similar pieces in each look, but for this outfit I busted out the first-time pairing of these printed joggers and this tennis cardigan. The overall vibe is laid-back glamour thanks to the retro-glam necklace. And while I'm loving the ease of joggers, and sleeveless shirts, the winds of fashion change are starting to stir. Autumn in coming and I'm getting pretty pumped for fall fashion! Stay tuned!

40 Year Old Cottagecore

Rent the Runway to the Rescue

So after the semi-disastrous dress vote from last week I took the stiletto by the heel, aka reserved this Slate & Willow dress from Rent the Runway  for the wedding in July.  Slate & Willow I had my eye on this as a possible outfit for the Tilda Swinton event I attended last month (fancy I know!) But, ended up going pretty casual since it was just a film screening. An AMAZING screening, but not a dressy affair nonetheless.  Anyway, this striped sheath has so many good reviews from a variety of fellow renters in all shapes and sizes, I didn't see one unflattering user pic, so I'm fairly confident this frock will serve my needs come July. Annie Lennox Realness!

Love the tuxedo detail of these cropped pants. coat/pants-Jcrew(similar here and here ), blazer-Zara(similar here ), shirt-Asos(sort of similar here ), shoes-DSW(really cool here ), gloves-Brian Atwood for Neiman Marcus/Target(more gloves here ), sunglasses-Banana Republic(similar here ) I'm feeling very Annie Lennox circa Eurythmics in this outfit, eh? Most times wearing a coat is a necessity, not necessarily an intricate part of the outfit, but here it really makes the look. And even though the blazer is covered up the hints of it, almost like a lining, work break up an all grey/white look.  And now for your viewing pleasure  Sweet Dreams:   Have a great weekend!
