Lace and Plaid and Hiding Out

I like to call these my fake Tory Burch Shoes

So my sunglasses broke while I was at work. Paper clip served as a quick fix.

I really love the mixed materials of this outfit. I'm always a sucker for plaid and lace. This shirt is actually a PJ top, but with the sweater I totally pulled it off at the office. Other than that, there's nothing really radical going on here. Just black and white and a bit of fun in the details.

Of course every time there's high winds or heavy snows I fear it will fall over and crush the house, but fingers crossed we've been safe thus far. I like the idea of hiding out under its branches, kind of taking a back seat to watch the happenings in the yard. I have to be careful though as poison ivy can grow under the tree and irritated skin does not a good outfit make.

Oh any suggestions on where I can pick up more durable sunglasses?

40 Year Old Cottagecore

Love the oversized coat and the detail on these jeans. Patterned blazer, cropped colorful trousers, yes please! Of course, I cannot partake in this collection with my Year Of No Shopping, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't. So get ready to go by noon because I'm sure this noise will sell out fast. Number Two: I'm thinking about a new haircut. Something along the lines of Tilda Swinton . What do we think? I'm not going to go blond, but I like the shorter/buzzed sides and back with length on the top. I may be on vacation at the moment, but I'm thinking of the future, in particular the wedding I'm attending back home next month. A ton of high school friends will be there.
