A Very Functional Outfit

Yes, this IS a very functional outfit, worn for a day with A LOT of walking. Mr. Keller, some friends, and I participated in the 1st annual (here's hoping) South Side Church Crawl yesterday. It was a great afternoon filled with beautiful buildings, artwork, cultural traditions, and baked goods!  We walked from 28th St. to 7th and back again, so these sneakers came very much in handy.  One may argue that this ensemble borders on "just clothes" and I can somewhat see that point. However, the details of the collared shirt, the unzipped sides (which create a different type of silhouette), the name brand bracelet, and the intentionally disheveled necklace are subtle elements that still strike a cord and elevate this look into an outfit. Which goes to show that not every outfit has to shout to be heard.
