 In this post I talked about my relationship with purple, and how all its shades are the perfect color(s) for spring. Well now I'm practicing what I preach with my new smokey pastel hair color! I felt it was time for a bit of a change, and when better than spring (and summer) to switch things up on the hair front. 💇 

 My new do' plays into the chic color combo of navy and mauve in this outfit. The collar tips on the shirt and tone-on-tone dots in the "vest" are subtle, yet striking details to elevate the overall look. Also, this "vest" is actually a top. I've long been a fan of vests as alternative to blazers, especially in the warmer months, now here I'm taking it a step further with a structured sleeveless top as a vest-alternative.

Two Things

First: Isabel Marant's collocation for H&M debuts today in select stores AND online at noon, so you may want to get up on that.  Here are a few looks I'm lusting after. Hello mixed patterns!   Love the oversized coat and the detail on these jeans.   Patterned blazer, cropped colorful trousers, yes please!   Of course, I cannot partake in this collection with my Year Of No Shopping, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't. So get ready to go by noon because I'm sure this noise will sell out fast.   Number Two: I'm thinking about a new haircut.  Something along the lines of Tilda Swinton .     What do we think? I'm not going to go blond, but I like the shorter/buzzed sides and back with length on the top. Mr. Keller is hesitant, he thinks it's too masculine, but I'm kind of in the mood to go a bit edgy and I've had the same cut now for two-ish years...  FYI: Tilda Swinton is my spirit animal!   ...

Gift Guide Part 3--Literature

So far I've covered beauty products and socks in this year's round of gift guides, which are prefect gift categories for the coming winter. To add to that list--reading! Here are a few books from my Books Worth Reading Pinterest board, first up--poetry! James Allen Hall's "I Liked You Better Before I Knew You So Well" from the CSU Poetry Center I LOVED Hall's 1st book   Now You're the Enemy , which won awards from the Texas Institute of Letters, the Lambda Literary Foundation, and the Fellowship of Southern Writers.
