Mr. Keller and I try to be mindful of backgrounds for outfit pics, but this blue-door duo was a happy accident. We chose this location for pure convenience, we've shot several outfits here before(here and here). Now seeing the pictures those blue doors nicely echo the blue stripes of this blouse, which neither of us were aware while shooting. In terms of the outfit (because let's face it that's why we're all here) I decided not to try to find a matching shade of orange or navy/blue for the bottom half of this look, but instead I just kept adding color. First with these red crops, and then with colorblocked, ankle-strap flats, which in theory sounds like a hot mess, but here it's working. Also, I want to give a shout out to the slouchy shirt-tuck that's going on here, am I right? I hate to be a braggart, but I got mad tucking skills, like defcon level 5 type noise.
Love the tuxedo detail of these cropped pants. coat/pants-Jcrew(similar here and here ), blazer-Zara(similar here ), shirt-Asos(sort of similar here ), shoes-DSW(really cool here ), gloves-Brian Atwood for Neiman Marcus/Target(more gloves here ), sunglasses-Banana Republic(similar here ) I'm feeling very Annie Lennox circa Eurythmics in this outfit, eh? Most times wearing a coat is a necessity, not necessarily an intricate part of the outfit, but here it really makes the look. And even though the blazer is covered up the hints of it, almost like a lining, work break up an all grey/white look. And now for your viewing pleasure Sweet Dreams: Have a great weekend!
Pretty look, love the colors!
