The ultimate mullet tuck. This blouse naturally has a draped hem(shorter in the front than the back) so I tucked the front in and let the back loose. How can you not, look at the pattern, the length, the pleating it begs to be free.

More great details in front of the blouse as well. This necklace is quite delicate and has great sentimental value as I wore it in my brother's wedding.

There's not much in the way of accessories for this look. Just a beautiful blouse and drapey trousers. When you have statement/high-quality pieces sometimes adding jewelry, or a blazer, or a big bag just gets in the way of the outfit.

40 Year Old Cottagecore

Rent the Runway to the Rescue

So after the semi-disastrous dress vote from last week I took the stiletto by the heel, aka reserved this Slate & Willow dress from Rent the Runway for the wedding in July. Slate & Willow I had my eye on this as a possible outfit for the Tilda Swinton event I attended last month (fancy I know!) But, ended up going pretty casual since it was just a film screening. An AMAZING screening, but not a dressy affair nonetheless. Anyway, this striped sheath has so many good reviews from a variety of fellow renters in all shapes and sizes, I didn't see one unflattering user pic, so I'm fairly confident this frock will serve my needs come July.
